The Nashville Figure Skating Club invites you to attend the 13th Annual Skate Nashville Competition, a non-qualifying competition and Future Champions Event, sanctioned by the United States Figure Skating Association being held May 2, 3, 4, 2003 at Southern Ice Arena, 215 Gothic Court, Franklin, Tennessee. A test session will be held Thursday afternoon, May 1, 2003. The competition is open to all registered USFSA members and will be conducted in accordance with the 2003-2004 rules and regulations of the USFSA as set forth in the
2003 Rule Book.

Facility
Southern Ice Arena is located about 15 minutes south of downtown Nashville and 5 minutes from historic Franklin. The Arena has two ice surfaces measuring
85’ by 200’ with slightly rounded corners, spectator seating for 600 and ample parking. Dressing rooms are available. The lobby snack bar serves a variety of foods and many restaurants from fast food to Four Star are within 10 minutes of the rink.
Directions to Southern Ice Arena: I 65 to Exit 68B (Cool Springs Blvd. West), Make 1st Right onto Mallory Lane, At 2nd light, make left onto Mallory Station, 1st left off
Mallory Station is Gothic Court… follow to end.
Accommodations
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Marriott
at Cool Springs, which will serve as the Host Hotel
for the competition. Please mention Skate Nashville
to obtain the competition rate of $95.00 per night.
(A 14.25% room tax will be added) To assure this special
rate, reservations must be made by March 21, 2003.

Critiques
Critiques will be offered for Short & Free Skating
programs for qualifying levels. If you wish to participate,
please go to the designated critique area following your event.
Registration
The registration desk will open Thursday, May 1,
at 5:00 p.m. Please register promptly upon arrival.
Registration will open daily one hour prior to the first event
 and close one hour before the conclusion of evening practice ice.
 Practice Ice
Two practice ice sessions are included in your fee
for the first event, one session for your second event.
These sessions will be assigned according to level and event.
Additional practice ice will be available for purchase at the event at
$10 per 30 minute session. Practice Ice will begin Thursday at 6:00 p.m.
No practice ice will be scheduled by phone. The practice ice
desk will be located in the registration room.
Music
All competition music must be on cassette tape, clearly labeled with the skater’s name, club name, event, and running time on the side that is to be played.
Please rewind all tapes to the leader. Music must be turned in at the registration desk at the time of check in, no later than one hour before the skater’s first event.
We recommend that all skaters bring a backup tape for each event entered.
Tapes may be picked up at the registration desk after each event.
Basic Skills and No Test Beginner Competitors:
Skaters must be registered members with the USFSA 30 days prior to the competition.
Awards
The Skate Nashville Team trophy will be awarded to the visiting club whose competitors receive the most event points. A second place trophy will also be awarded. Medals will be awarded for first through fourth place, ribbons for fifth through eighth place. Awards presentations and official photos will take place off ice throughout the competition immediately following the posting of results for each event.
Refund Policy
Competitor overpayment or event cancellation will result in a refund. If you are due a refund, you will receive a coupon at registration. You may use this toward purchases at the event, or place in the refund box at registration and checks will be mailed after  the event. If an emergency or extraordinary circumstance results in a last minute cancellation, mail a written request for refund to the registrar for review by the Nashville FSC Board.
